The Assistance Fund Opens New Program for Asthma

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Copay Assistance From The Assistance Fund Now Available for Eligible People Living With Asthma

ORLANDO, Fla., April 11, 2022 —The Assistance Fund, an independent charitable patient assistance organization that helps patients and families facing high medical out-of-pocket costs, today announced the launch of a new copay assistance program for people living with asthma. The program is designed to help eligible individuals pay for their out-of-pocket medical expenses related to asthma, such as copays, deductibles, and coinsurance.

Chronic asthma impacts more than 26 million Americans, making it difficult to breathe and stay active.¹ People living with asthma experience swollen and constricted airways, usually triggered by an environmental factor. It is the most common chronic condition experienced by children, but it can begin at any age. Asthma can be treated with steroids, antibiotics, or lifestyle changes.

“Every day, high costs are preventing Americans living with asthma from breathing easily,” said Mark P. McGreevy, President and CEO of The Assistance Fund. “Thanks to our generous donors, TAF’s Asthma Copay Assistance Program will help children and adults access the treatment they need to enjoy a better quality of life.”
